{ New Work - Complete }

June 10, 2010

Completed the re-design of the Studio Constantine website for Jason Cullison. Reworked the blog also to match the main site's design a little more as well.

Studio Constantine - Art Gallery Site

{ New Work }

May 10, 2010

Part 1 of my current freelance work is nearing completion. It is a site for Jason Cullison's art, a pop surrealist based in the Orlando area. The basic aesthetic for the site is glowy-neon glowiness. The glow has me now. More to come shortly.

{ Absurdism }

April 27, 2010

This may be a staple of absurdist tragicomedy on the web, but I really feel the need to post this for anyone that hasn't seen it. Still makes me laugh and cry after all these years.

{ Gamers... }

April 2, 2010

You gotta love gamers and their creativity, determination, and abundance of time. Someone took the Law Abiding Citizen trailer and incorporated Team Fortress 2 characters. Yet more proof that videogames are serious business. Law Abiding Engineer (YouTube)

{ Designing the interwebs - Part 2 }

Doing some more freelance web design. Links to follow.

{ Designing the interwebs }

March 10, 2010

Doing some freelance web design. Trying out some new things. Solidifying old things. Making a list, checking it twice. It's a long-term project but links will follow when finished/close to finished.

{ Interactive Achievement Awards }

February 25, 2010

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences gave out their annual awards recently. See More Here

Five titles were nominated for Game of the Year, four of which were no surprise (Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed II, and Dragon Age). The one that shocked most in the game industry, critics and consumers alike, was Batman: Arkham Asylum. The developer, Rocksteady Studios, had only one previous game under their belts that was largely forgettable. Most were expecting just another mediocre licensed game when Arkham Asylum was announced. As more information about the game came out, hopes were raised that this might turn out to be a decent game. Once it was released though, the game truly showed itself to be a fantastic mix of beat-em-up action and stealth gameplay. Here's to Rocksteady for proving that superhero-licensed games don't have to suck horribly.

{ CSS3 Stuff }

February 8, 2010

Looking at some new demos of the forthcoming CSS3. Most of the new visual effects, transitions, menus, and image galleries are impressive. Can't wait for more browsers to start supporting it fully. As of now, Chrome and Safari are the best ways to view much of it. See more at Web Designer Wall.

{ Amiga = Best Computer Ever }

February 4, 2010

Recently came across Workbench Nostalgia, a site dedicated to the classic Amiga OS. We used to own two different Amiga models, the 500 and the 1000, and I have many fond memories from this time. They were amazing computers and it was hard go back to my Nintendo after playing some of the best games of the era on the Amiga. I have an urge now to check out eBay. Nostalgia - 1. Me - 0.

{ Web Hosting makes me cry }

February 1, 2010

Changed hosting service for site. Was not a smooth process due to horrible hosting company...the name of which I won't give away. I'll just say that it's named after an integer less than 2 & that same integer less than 2. That doesn't give it away does it?

{ Super secret 3D model }

January 25, 2010

Started working on a new 3D model. Unfortunately, I can't yet tell or show anyone what it is yet. Not until it gets the legal treatment (copyright). For now however, I'll just say that it's being made out of polygons and awesome.

{ Hello World }

January 20, 2010

Finished design of new portfolio site. Aim was a clean layout, tri-color scheme, and simple navigation. Created sections to show 3D modeling, 2D imaging, web design, and Flash work. I will be continually adding content as I complete new projects, both personal and professional.
